The day that we finally freed ourselves from the claws of imperialism completed 75 years on the 15th of August this year. The honourable Govt. of India this year undertook the proud initiative – Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate the momentous occasion. It is a day of celebrating our glorious past, culture, tradition and heritage.
Residents of Nambiar Bellezea joined hands in making a day to remember with great enthusiasm and vigour. The event was organised by the community’s welfare association, with flag hoisting followed by singing of the national anthem, and cultural performances by children.
The event started early in the morning, with residents gathering around the flagpole to witness the flag-hoisting ceremony. Following this, the national anthem was sung, and everyone participated with rapt attention. Following this, children from the community showcased their talents in various cultural performances, including dance and music.
The event was a grand success, with everyone coming together to celebrate the spirit of freedom and patriotism. It also provided an opportunity for the community to strengthen their bond and promote a sense of togetherness. Overall, the Independence Day event at Nambiar Bellezea was a great way to commemorate the occasion and pay tribute to the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. It was a day filled with pride, joy and a sense of belonging to a larger community.
India is a country with one of the most robust democracies in the world with the longest and most complex constitution. It gives us immense pride to be called an Indian. And, why wouldn’t we be? Being a nation with such a rich heritage, culture, and tradition, India is strengthening itself and we are in touching distance of being declared a superpower. Jai Hind!
