Republic Day is celebrated with great pomp and show each year at Nambiar Bellezea. This year, on the occasion of India’s 74th Republic Day, the residents took part in a ‘Run for Fun’ marathon, making the red-letter day an even more memorable one.
The event kicked off right in the morning, with everyone taking part – first in the marathon, followed by a parade, and ending with the hoisting of our national flag at the amphitheatre. The atmosphere was jovial and festive, with many of the residents turning up in their best traditional attire.
The route of the marathon was carefully plotted, making the complete distance of the track a commendable 5 kilometres, within the project premises. The runners, a motley crew of young and old, were constantly cheered and egged on by friends and family. The atmosphere was electric throughout and the host of events culminated with a grand breakfast.
Our event was a grand success, as we were able to instil a sense of great camaraderie and community living, with a bevy of happy faces, high spirits and great enthusiasm from one and all. This endeavour is just a small step towards greater things to come!
